People who join the team at Farr Academy are passionate about working with students, dedicated to helping every student find success, and able to think outside of the box to meet individual student needs. Tenacity and a sense of humor are two of our staff’s biggest assets. We have a lot of fun as a staff at Farr, laughing at ourselves even as we deconstruct a day’s events to make sure we do it even better next time. Outside of school hours, staff members often socialize in large or small groups to cement the close working relationships which mirror those we establish with our students. Curiosity and exploration are encouraged as people share hobbies and interests with each other and with the students. Our educators are known as teacher/counselors because therapeutic rapport underlies every aspect of our work. We provide ongoing training and support to staff to increase their knowledge of, and proficiency in, psychoeducational strategies for student success.
